White Sox vs. Tigers Pick
Will the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox go over the total once again when the two meetup today at 4:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Detroit is the favorite at home, as the Tigers are getting odds of -130 to win, while the White Sox are listed with a money line of +120 to prevail. The over/under total for the game is listed at 9.5 runs.

The pitching matchup for today’s game has Miguel Gonzalez (4-5, 4.43 ERA) on the mound for the White Sox to face Jordan Zimmerman (4-4, 6.47) of the Tigers. Zimmerman has been a mess all season, allowing 40 earned runs in 55.2 innings. He has 34 strikeouts and 17 walks, with a WHIP of 1.56. He also has allowed 16 home runs. Gonzalez has been very shaky as well, allowing at least three runs in his last four starts. He has 39 strikeouts with 20 walks this year and a WHIP of 1.40.
The Tigers won the series opener on Friday, 15-5. These two have now hit the over in eight of their last 10 encounters this season. Detroit is 26-28 overall, 13-10 at home and 29-23 with the over. Chicago is 24-29 overall, 12-18 on the road and 25-25 with the over/under total.
Friday’s game saw the Tigers rack up runs quickly, putting up 10 in the first three innings. Derek Holland lasted just 2.1 innings, giving up 8 runs in that span. Michael Fulmer lasted 7 innings, but allowed all 5 Chicago runs. Miguel Cabrera had three hits and drove in four runs to lead the Tigers while J.D. Martinez had three hits, including his ninth home run of the season. Leury Garcia drove in three of the five Chicago runs.
If the Tigers can hit that well off Holland, I would expect them to hit Gonzalez at home today as well. The White Sox should certainly hit off Zimmerman, who has allowed multiple home runs in his last three starts. The total is set high, but these two teams should be able to get to it with ease and have plenty extra after that.
