White Sox vs. Rockies Pick
Can the Colorado Rockies take the rubber match from the Chicago White Sox when the two conclude this weekend series today at 3:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Colorado is the favorite in this game, as the Rockies are getting odds of -125 to win. The White Sox are getting odds of +105 to prevail, while the over/under total for the contest is listed at 11.5 runs.

The pitching matchup today has Carlos Rodon (1-1, 1.59 ERA) on the mound for Chicago to face Kyle Freeland (8-7, 4.09) of the Rockies. Freeland has struggled in recent starts, allowing 14 runs over his last 17.1 innings. On the year he has 56 strikeouts with 38 walks and a 1.47 WHIP. Rodon has started two games this season, allowing two earned runs in 11.1 innings with 12 strikeouts and nine walks.
These two have split the first two games of this series. The Rockies picked up a 12-4 win on Friday night, but the White Sox bounced back with a 5-4 win on Saturday. Chicago is now 38-48 overall and 19-30 on the road while Colorado is 51-39 overall and 25-18 at home.
The White Sox edged the Rockies with a Tim Anderson solo home run in the top of the ninth inning. The Sox were hitting the ball hard all night, as they had three triples as a team. Yolmer Sanchez had a pair of hits and drove in two runs to lead the team while Jose Abreu also had a pair of hits. Nolan Arenado continued his great series for Colorado, driving in two while hitting his 17th home run of the season. Jeff Hoffman pitched seven innings for Colorado, but gave up four runs.
I like the White Sox to get another slight upset. Rodon has looked pretty good in his first two starts, outside of high walk totals. Freeland has been in a funk over the past few weeks and that should open the door for Chicago to pick up some more extra-base hits. Rodon should continue to get deeper into games with each start and I think he takes control to lead the Sox to a win.
