St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Jordan Walker went 2-for-4 and hit his first major league homer on Wednesday in the Cardinals’ loss to the Braves. The homer was a line shot to left off a poorly placed slider from righty reliever Michael Tonkin. Walker also doubled in the contest, raising his OPS from .683 to .902 today. It’s an extremely small sample, but the 20-year-old phenom hasn’t looked overmatched at all in the early stages of his big league debut.
Milwaukee Brewers DFS SPIN
Garrett Mitchell hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth on Wednesday to give the Brewers a 7-6 win over the Mets. This comes after the rookie blasted two homers in Tuesday’s contest. Mitchell didn’t start today against the lefty, but he came off the bench in the sixth and homered in his second at-bat. The power is legit, though he has enough swing and miss in his game that the homers might only come sporadically. Still, he should make up for some inconsistency by stealing a whole bunch of bases.
