St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Ryan Helsley struck out all three batters he faced for a save against the Brewers on Tuesday. The Cardinals were calling Jojo Romero their closer before he got hurt, but it sure seems likely that Helsley would have reclaimed the job anyway. He’s allowed just one run in 10 2/3 innings since coming off the injured list on Sept. 1. He’s up to 50 strikeouts in 35 2/3 innings for the season.
Milwaukee Brewers DFS SPIN
Adrian Houser gave up four runs in five innings Tuesday as the Brewers lost to the Cardinals. In spite of the loss, the Brewers clinched the NL Central, giving them the top seed in next week’s Wild Card battles. Houser will probably pitch again Sunday anyway, though it’ll likely be a short outing. The Brewers figure to have him available as a reliever in the Wild Card series.

Cardinals vs. Brewers MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I took the over in this matchup last night, but the bet would have been voided when the Cardinals changed starting pitchers. Instead of Thompson taking the mound, it was Miles Mikolas. Regardless, I like the over again tonight. Thompson owns an expected batting average against of .256, as well as an expected slug of .480 and an xwOBA of .356 versus Milwaukee’s current roster. Miley, meanwhile, has worse numbers. His expected batting average against is .295, while his expected slug is .524 and his xwOBA of .376 against the current St. Louis roster paints an ugly picture for tonight’s game.
