St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Tyler O’Neill (shoulder) went 2-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Memphis. O’Neill launched a tape-measure solo shot in the ninth inning Saturday evening to cap off a two-hit effort for the Redbirds. Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol indicated Saturday that the slugging outfielder won’t be ready to return from the injured list until later next week. Given his tremendous five-category upside, fantasy managers should ensure that O’Neill isn’t on the waiver wire anywhere at this point.
Chicago Cubs DFS Spin
Willson Contreras went 2-for-9 with an RBI double Saturday in his return to the Cubs’ lineup. Contreras started both games of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals after missing one game due to a left ankle issue. He finished with a pair of hits, including a first-inning RBI double off Cardinals’ starter Andre Pallante in the nightcap of the twin bill. The 30-year-old backstop is hitting .275/.396/.519 with 33 runs scored, nine homers, 22 RBI and two steals across 192 plate appearances this season.
