Cardinals vs. Cubs Prediction
The Cardinals have now won six straight games, including the first game of their four-game set against the hated Cubs last night at Wrigley Field. Will St. Louis also cash as an underdog on Friday afternoon when the two teams play a matinee game at 2:20 p.m. ET?

St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Jordan Walker went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Thursday, powering the Cardinals to a 7-2 victory over the Cubs. Walker became the youngest player to homer at Wrigley Field in over a half century when he launched a 398-foot moonshot to left-center field off Cubs starter Marcus Stroman in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and help spark St. Louis to their sixth consecutive victory. The 21-year-old rookie outfielder is hitting .282/.339/.455 with 24 runs scored, nine homers, 28 RBI and three stolen bases across 227 plate appearances. He hasn’t blossomed into a full-fledged fantasy superstar yet, but he’s more than holding his own at the highest level.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Yan Gomes went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple on Thursday in the Cubs’ loss to the Cardinals. Gomes was one of the few bright spots for Chicago in this one, becoming the first Cubs batter to record two triples in the same game in five years. He supplied one of their two runs in the contest with a fourth-inning triple off Cardinals southpaw Steven Matz.

Cardinals vs. Cubs MLB BETTING PREDICTION
This is one of the more underrated pitching matchups on the board today. Justin Steele has been outstanding for the Cubs this season and while the Cardinals typically fare well versus left-handers, I still like the Chicago starter to keep St. Louis’ offense relatively in check. As for Jack Flaherty, he has strung together good outings for the Cardinals since early June. He’s likely to be traded at the deadline and he’s in a contract year, so I expect his best today as well. Give me the under.
