St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Dylan Carlson went 2-for-4 against the Giants on Wednesday. Carlson came into this one with a three-game hitless streak. He snapped it with a base hit off of Alex Wood in the third inning. The 22-year-old outfielder got on base once again in the eighth with a single off of Tyler Rogers. Carlson has been underwhelming this season, with a .256/.342/.390 triple-slash, seven homers, 31 RBI, and no steals over 360 plate appearances.
Chicago Cubs DFS Spin
Kyle Hendricks was charged with one run over six innings on Sunday in a no-decision against the Reds. Hendricks departed in line for the win, as an RBI double off the bat of Tucker Barnhart in the second inning represented the lone tally against him across six frames, but the Cubs bullpen failed to hold the lead. He also helped his own cause with an RBI single in the second inning. The soft-tossing 31-year-old righty collected five strikeouts and didn’t issue a walk. He’ll carry a solid 3.83 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 79/19 K/BB ratio across 98 2/3 innings (17 starts) into a home matchup against the struggling Cardinals on Friday in his final start prior to the All-Star break.
Cardinals vs. Cubs Betting Prediction
The Cardinals are 0-4 in their last four games versus the Cubs and are winless in their last four games at Wrigley Field. While Chicago is certainly in a deep funk right now, St. Louis has had its own issues of late. The Cardinals are just 1-11 in their last 12 divisional games, are 1-6 in their last seven road games versus a team with a losing record and have lost 13 of 17 on the road overall.
