Two of the first three games in the Cardinals’ five-game series against the Cubs were low-scoring.
St. Louis’ offense came alive last night, however, and with only an 8.5-run total to overcome, will the over hit again when these rivals meet at 8:05 p.m. ET on Wednesday night?

St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Tyler O’Neill lined a two-run homer and reached base three times in the nightcap of the Cardinals’ doubleheader versus the Cubs on Tuesday. O’Neill singled in his first plate appearance before hitting a screamer at 108.8 mph over the left-field wall for a two-run blast in the fourth inning. He also had a 108 mph lineout. It’s a good sign for O’Neill, who is batting .324 with a couple dingers over his last nine games.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Patrick Wisdom (finger) doubled in one of his four plate appearances in his return to action Tuesday. Wisdom injured a finger on Saturday and sat out the next three games, including the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader. He was back out there for the nightcap, though, and drilled a double at 111.9 mph off the bat.

Cardinals vs. Cubs MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The over is 4-1 in the Cardinals’ last five games versus a right-handed starter, is 7-2 in their last nine games when their opponent allowed five runs or more in its previous game and is 5-2 in their last seven road games when facing an opponent with a losing record. On the other side, the over is 3-1-2 in the Cubs’ last six divisional games and as we saw last night, their bullpen is in rough shape at the moment. Even if the Cards don’t break out against starter Luke Farrell, they should be able to pick up plenty of runs in the later innings.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: CARDINALS/CUBS OVER 8.5
