St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Paul Goldschmidt led the Cardinals to a 10-6 victory over his former club in Arizona on Monday night, going 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI. The 35-year-old slugger opened the scoring just two batters into the ballgame as he clobbered a 444-foot (107.3 mph EV) two-run blast off of Diamondbacks’ right-hander Ryne Nelson. Goldschmidt also delivered a game-tying RBI single off of Andrew Chafin in the ninth, then came around to score on Tyler O’Neill’s three-run double. He’s enjoying another outstanding season offensively — slashing .285/.371/.473 with 17 homers, 53 RBI and eight stolen bases.
Arizona Diamondbacks DFS SPIN
Christian Walker slugged his 21st home run of the season on Monday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Diamondbacks to victory over the visiting Cardinals. The 32-year-old tagged Chris Stratton for his 417-foot solo shot in the sixth inning, pulling the Diamondbacks to within two runs at 5-3. Walker also singled and scored on a two-run double by Evan Longoria in the seventh inning, finishing the night 2-for-4. On the season, he’s now slashing .263/.341/.518 with 21 dingers and 64 RBI

Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I wouldn’t declare a Kelly-Matz matchup as a “pitcher’s duel,” but I do see this game falling under the total. Kelly has been out since June 24 due to a blood clot in his left leg but he stretched out to 85 pitches in his last bullpen session so he shouldn’t have too many restrictions for tonight’s game. He’s 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA in five career starts against the Cardinals despite having some issues with Willson Contreras (4-for-7, 1 HR, 3 doubles) and Nolan Arenado (4-for-13, 1 HR). As for Matz, he picked up his first win of the season last Thursday when he allowed just one run and three hits over five innings against the Cubs. He’s 2-1 with a 3.77 ERA in five career starts against the Diamondbacks.
