St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Cardinals optioned OF Jordan Walker to Triple-A Memphis. The writing was on the wall after Walker rode the bench in three of the Cardinals’ last four games. The 20-year-old burgeoning superstar will head back to the minors to continue his development by playing everyday after batting .274/.321/.397 with two homers, 11 RBI and two stolen bases across 78 plate appearances. There isn’t exactly an open spot for him in the St. Louis outfield at the moment, but that could absolutely change in a few months, if not sooner. It’s only a matter of time before he’s back for good.
San Francisco Giants DFS SPIN
Logan Webb recorded eight strikeouts and allowed two runs over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Mets. Webb was staked to an early cushion and was able to cruise through seven frames at Oracle Park to collect his first win of the year. He generated only seven swinging strikes, but threw 63 of 97 pitches for strikes, finishing with a robust 33 percent CSW. The 26-year-old right-hander will carry a solid 4.40 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 36/4 K/BB ratio across 30 2/3 innings (five starts) into a home matchup on Thursday against the Cardinals.
