Cardinals vs. Pirates MLB Prediction
The Pirates have absolutely owned the Cardinals of late, but will they cash again as a large underdog when the two NL Central opponents meet at 7:05 p.m. ET on Friday night?

St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
After coming in to start the seventh, Genesis Cabrera gave up hits to every batter he faced and was charged with six runs while taking a blown save and a loss Thursday against the Pirates. The first three hits were all rather soft singles, so it was understandable that Mike Shildt stuck with him initially. However, he definitely should have been pulled before giving up a homer to Yoshi Tsutsugo, the sixth batter he faced. Cabrera also gave up three runs to this very same lineup in a game last Saturday. His ERA jumped from 3.34 to 4.29 tonight.
Pittsburgh Pirates DFS Spin
Colin Moran finished 4-for-5 with a homer and two RBI as the Pirates came back to defeat the Cardinals 11-7 on Thursday. The Pirates scored eight time in the seventh to pull off the upset. Moran’s homer was his seventh in 233 plate appearances this season. He’s batting .286, but between the middling power and walk rate and the poor defense at first base, he hasn’t been very helpful to the Pirates’ cause.
Pirates vs. Cardinals Betting Prediction
The under is 5-1-3 in the last nine meetings between these two teams, is 4-1-1 in the Cardinals’ last five games overall and is 6-1-1 in their last seven games as a favorite. On the other side, the under is 6-1-2 in the Pirates’ last eight games versus a left-handed starter, is 6-1-2 in their last eight games versus a team with a winning record and is 6-1-1 in their last seven games versus a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15.
