Arenado has enjoyed a strong sophomore season with the Cardinals, and improves his OPS to .857 with 45 RBI over the first 66 games.

Nick Pivetta gave up a run over eight innings Tuesday in a win over the Athletics. He also allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out two. Pivetta has now completed at least eight innings in three of his 116 career starts, and in two of his last six starts. He threw 67 of his 100 pitches for strikes on Tuesday (67 percent strike rate), and finished with a solid 30 percent called plus swinging strike rate. He’ll take a 3.50 ERA into Sunday’s home matchup against the Cardinals.
