St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Tyler O’Neill made his presence felt off the bench on Sunday night, walloping a go-ahead three-run homer off of A.J. Minter in the eighth inning to propel the Cardinals to a 6-3 victory over the Braves. O’Neill entered the game as a defensive replacement in the seventh inning after Albert Pujols had pinch-hit for Corey Dickerson. He certainly made the most of his only at-bat in the contest though, destroying an 0-1 fastball for a 423-foot game-changing blast. Maybe this is the type of big hit that O’Neill needs to now get his season back on track. He’s now hitting .230/.302/.375 with 10 homers, 50 RBI and nine stolen bases in 80 games.
Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
Nick Lodolo gave up three runs over seven innings on Sunday in a loss to the Nationals. Lodolo matched his previous season-high, completing seven frames for the second time in his last three starts. He limited the Nationals to just five hits, including a fifth-inning solo homer off the bat of Ildemaro Vargas. He finished with five strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. The 24-year-old left-hander has recorded a respectable 4.30 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 82/29 K/BB ratio across 67 innings (13 starts) this season in his first taste of the majors. He’s lined up to face Rockies on Saturday in a favorable home matchup.
