Colorado picked up a 10-3 home victory Tuesday night over the Cubs as they improved to 35-31 overall and 20-12 at home. Rookie Peter Lambert was strong on the mound to earn the win as he gave up one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks over five innings of work. Charlie Blackmon led the Rockies as he ended the contest 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. Daniel Murphy was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. MLB Betting Trends
Chicago
The Cubs are 7-1 in their last seven Wednesday games. Chicago is 9-3 in the last 12 Hamels starts.
Colorado
The Rockies are 12-4 in their last 16 games overall. Colorado is 52-25 in its last 77 home games.
Prediction:
Senzatela has been much better as of late, but Hamels is savvy and should navigate Coors Field better than most. I think the Cubs touch up Senzatela as he has a low strikeout rate and won’t be fooling anyone today. The Cubs have some big bats and they are due for a big game this series. Taking the road favorites this afternoon.
