White Sox vs. A’s Prediction
After somewhat tumultuous spring, the White Sox will look to start off the 2016 MLB season on the right foot when they visit the A’s tonight at 10:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the White Sox are -124 money line favorites versus the A’s, who are +114 to pull off the upset at home. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 7 runs after the number opened at 6.5.

Sonny Gray has been scratched from his scheduled start tonight due to food poisoning. It was yet another blow to Oakland’s rotation depth and now Rich Hill will step in to make the start. Hill had a rough spring, although he did have a decent start on Wednesday when he allowed two runs on two hits over 4 1/3 innings of work.

The White Sox don’t have any issues with their starter, who will be Chris Sale. He pitched 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball to help the Sox beat the Rangers on Tuesday. Although he battled with Kenny Williams over the Adam LaRoche retirement controversy this spring, Sale is set to be dominant again for the Chi-Sox.
The White Sox are 5-1 in Sale’s last six starts versus American League West opponents and should pick up a win tonight with Hill starting for the A’s now instead of the ace Gray.
