Indians fall again
Cleveland has lost four of their last five after a 4-3 loss to the Mets on Wednesday night in 10 innings. The Indians are 74-53 on the season 35-27 on the road and 68-55 with the under. Cleveland has Aaron Civale on the mound today. He is 1-2 on the season with a 1.50 ERA.
The Indians took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 10th on Wednesday, only to see Brad Hand give up two runs in the bottom of the inning to take his fourth loss of the year. Adam Plutko had a good start for Cleveland, putting up six innings, allowing two runs on four hits. Carlos Santana connected on his 30th home run of the season in the loss while Jose Ramirez had two hits and a RBI.
Mets win fourth straight
The New York Mets are on a four-game win streak after taking the first two from the Indians in this series. New York is 66-60 on the season, 36-21 at home and 62-51 with the over. The Mets have Noah Syndergaard on the mound today. He is 8-6 on the season with a 3.86 ERA.
J.D. Davis had a walk-off single for the Mets in the 10th inning to lead New York to the victory last night. Juan Lagares had two hits and a RBI while Joe Panik had two hits for New York. Marcus Stroman lasted just four innings in his start. He gave up just one run on five hits with a strikeouts and a walk. Luis Avilan got the win in relief to improve to 4-0. He gave up one run in the 10th inning.
MLB Betting Trends
Cleveland
The Indians are 13-4 in their last 17 Game 3’s of a series and 7-3 in their last 10 interleague road game.
New York
The Mets have won eight straight interleague games against a right-handed starter and nine 13 of their last 16 interleague games overall.
Prediction:
Syndergaard has been rolling along right now, going at least seven innings in six of his last seven starts. Civale has thrown in four games and gone six inning sin each start with solid numbers. However, Cleveland’s bullpen has been an issue in this series. New York has one of their top arms on the mound today at home and I expect him to cruise through a Cleveland lineup that has been silenced in the first two games at Citi Field.
MLB Prediction: New York Mets -135
