Rockies vs. Diamondbacks Prediction
One night after an ugly loss in their home opener, the Diamondbacks will look to rebound when they host the Rockies tonight at 9:40PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Diamondbacks are -165 money line favorites over the Rockies, who have +140 odds to pull off the upset again tonight. As for the total, the number opened at 8.5 but has been bet up to 9.
Bet Tonight’s Rockies vs. Diamondbacks Game
Trevor Story homered twice and knocked in four runs in his major league debut to lead the Rockies to a 10-5 win over the Diamondbacks in the teams’ opener on Monday. He took Zack Greinke deep in the third and fourth innings, making him the first player ever to homer twice while making his MLB debut on Opening Day.
Chad Bettis will take the hill for the Rockies after yielding three runs over five frames in a win over the Rangers on Monday. Bettis was pretty good this spring and was one of the Rockies’ best starters last season, although that’s not saying much for Colorado’s suspect rotation. Nevertheless, he’ll attempt to make the Rockies 2-0 on the year.

The D-Backs will counter with Shelby Miller, whom they acquired from the Braves this offseason. Miller was absolutely lit for seven runs on seven hits over four innings in Wednesday’s loss to the A’s. While he was much better in his previous spring starter when he tossed 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball against the Indians, it’s possible the same Colorado lineup that gave Greinke all that trouble Monday night could pose a threat to Miller tonight. Take a flier on the Rockies.
