Rockies vs. Brewers Prediction
Given their price, the Rockies might be a gift from oddsmakers tonight in Milwaukee, where they’ll visit the Brewers at 7:20PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockies are -120 money line favorites versus the Brewers, who have odds of +110 to pull off the upset tonight at home. With Chad Bettis set to face Jimmy Nelson in the pitching matchup, the over/under for tonight’s game currently sits at 9 runs.
Bet Tonight’s Rockies vs. Brewers Game
COLORADO: Bettis only allowed two runs in his last start but unfortunately for him and the Rockies, that was in just three innings. The outing was cut short by ran last Tuesday night in Washington so Bettis was saved by the rain. He had already given up five hits and a walk in three innings of work. Bettis is 10-6 but his ERA is an ugly 5.29.
MILWAUKEE: Nelson served up six runs in five innings of work last Wednesday versus the Cubs. He was 5-3 with a 2.88 ERA through the end of May but he’s surrendered 56 runs (45 earned) and posted a 53/39 K/BB ratio in 61 innings over his last 14 starts. Once a bright spot in Milwaukee’s rotation, now Nelson has become just another issue for the Brewers.

OUR PICK: This Colorado lineup should bat Nelson around pretty good. The Brewers are 1-5 in Nelson’s last six home starts, are 2-12 in his last 14 starts overall, and are 0-6 in his last six starts versus National League West opponents. On the other side, the Rockies are 7-1 in Bettis’ last eight starts and are a perfect 6-0 in his last six outings versus an opponent with a losing record.
