The Cubs will send the young 23-year-old Jordan Wicks to the mound to keep their season alive. Wicks has been strong for Chicago since being called up in late August posting a 4-1 record with a 3.00 ERA. He is coming off a quality start in Colorado where he allowed three runs over six innings and recorded the win. The Brewers will send Eric Lauer to the mound in this one.
Lauer is making his first big league start since May 20th. Lauer has been back and forth this year between the Majors a Triple-A and his numbers have not been great in either place with an ERA over 5.00 across both locations. Give me the desperate Cubs here.
