Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Adbert Alzolay recorded the final four outs Friday against the Cardinals for his 12th save. Alzolay had just one previous save of more than one inning, that coming on May 30 before he took over as the Cubs’ closer. It’s probably not something the team is going to want to turn into a habit, but he got the job done tonight after taking over for Julian Merryweather in the eighth.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Lars Nootbaar supplied the Cardinals’ only two runs with a pair of solo homers Friday against the Cubs. The homers came in the leadoff man’s first two at-bats in the first and third innings. The Cardinals mustered nothing else tonight. Nootbaar has hit .474 with four homers and a 1/7 K/BB ratio in his last six games, raising his OPS from .732 to .809

Cubs vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Cubs have owned the Cardinals of late and despite all the praise he’s receiving for barely making it through the fifth inning of his last start against Arizona, Wainwright has stunk this season. He’s 3-4 with a 7.31 ERA and has often thrown batting practice to the opposition. Of course, Taillon hasn’t been much better. He’s 4-6 with a 5.75 ERA on the season and owns a 5.40 ERA in two starts against the Cardinals this season. On what is expected to be another hot night in St. Louis, give me the over.
