Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers “have looked at” Ian Happ. Heyman adds that, as is the case with the Padres, the Dodgers seem to be viewing Happ as a potential backup plan should they lose out on Juan Soto. Happ has put together a .279/.360/.436 batting line with nine homers and six steals this season. He’s under team control through 2023.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Paul DeJong walloped a solo homer on Sunday in the Cardinals’ win over the Nationals. DeJong gave the Cardinals a five-run lead courtesy of a gargantuan 421-foot sixth-inning blast to center field off Nationals reliever Jordan Weems. It was his second round-tripper in two contests since being called back up to the majors earlier this weekend. The 28-year-old shortstop is expected to play regularly for St. Louis over the final two months of the year after the club traded Edmundo Sosa to the Phillies on Saturday.
