Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Nico Hoerner popped a solo home run and added a single Wednesday versus the Nationals. Josiah Gray had held the Cubs off the scoreboard until Hoerner led off the seventh inning with his seventh dinger of the season. The Cubbies wound up with a four spot in the frame and that was enough for a win. He’s almost surely never going to be much of a power hitter, but that Hoerner has been able to show this year that he’s not a total zero in that department has been encouraging, especially when combined with his average and steals potential.
Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
Joey Votto reached base three times, scored a run and drove in a run Wednesday versus the Mets. Votto had a hand in the Reds’ two-run fourth inning, doubling in a run and then scoring. Those were the only two runs they managed of the day. He also had a single and was hit by a pitch (although that probably should’ve been overturned because he really leaned into it). Votto had been hitless in his previous three contests.
