Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Christopher Morel went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Friday’s 6-2 victory over the Twins. The Cubs were clinging to a 3-2 lead before Morel took Jorge Alcala deep in the top of the ninth inning to provide some valuable insurance. The 23-year-old was notably in the leadoff spot on Friday after batting eighth and ninth in the first two games after his call-up. The injury to Nico Hoerner has opened the door to playing time and Morel has done his part with three straight two-hit games. With the way he was mashing in Triple-A, he’s well worth a pickup in mixed leagues for now.
Minnesota Twins DFS SPIN
Max Kepler (leg) flew out in a pinch-hit appearance in the seventh inning on Friday against the Cubs. Kepler was held out of the starting lineup after he left Thursday’s game due to a leg cramp, but all indications are that the issue was minor. Look for him to return to Rocco Baldelli’s lineup at some point this weekend.
