Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Cody Bellinger went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts as the Cubs’ cleanup man Saturday against the Twins. Following a fabulous April, Bellinger is off to a .220/.273/.300 start in May. He’s struck out 14 times in 12 games, compared to 17 times in 24 games in April. On the plus side, he does have five steals this month, bringing his season total to nine.
Minnesota Twins DFS SPIN
Alex Kirilloff hit two solo homers and doubled Saturday as the Twins crushed the Cubs 11-1. The Twins are still protecting Kirilloff some, which is why he didn’t start against a lefty last night and why he was denied his final two plate appearances in a blowout today. Kirilloff has been terrific since his callup, going 7-for-16 with six walks. He’s a worthy mixed-league option at the moment, though losing these at-bats is definitely cutting into his upside.
