Los Angeles Dodgers DFS Notes
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Max Scherzer will start Game 2 of the NLCS on Sunday night against the Braves. Roberts added that righty Walker Buehler will start Game 3 on Tuesday night, followed by lefty Julio Urías in Game 4 on Wednesday evening. Scherzer will get an extra day of rest after throwing 13 pitches on Thursday night to record his first career save in Game 5 of the NLDS against the Giants. The 37-year-old righty has allowed just two runs on six hits with a 16/4 K/BB ratio across 12 1/3 innings (three appearances, two starts) this postseason.
Atlanta Braves DFS Notes
Austin Riley homered and delivered a walk-off RBI single in the ninth inning on Saturday, propelling the Braves to a 3-2 victory over the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS. Riley blasted a 381-foot game-tying solo shot off of Tony Gonsolin with two outs in the fourth inning that tied the score at 2-2. That’s how the score would remain until the home half of the ninth inning. There Ozzie Albies reached on a bloop single, swiped second base and then Riley laced a ball into the left field corner to deliver the game-winning run. He’s having a terrific postseason, slashing .368/.400/.684 with a pair of homers and three RBI.
