Los Angeles Dodgers DFS SPIN
J.D. Martinez went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored as the National League topped the American League in Tuesday’s All-Star Game in Seattle. Martinez started the second inning with a leadoff single off of Nathan Eovaldi, but wound up getting stranded at second base. He then smacked a leadoff double off of George Kirby in the fourth inning and came around to score his squad’s first run on an RBI single off the bat of Luis Arraez.
New York Mets DFS SPIN
Tommy Pham is day-to-day with right groin soreness. Pham was re-evaluated on Wednesday after an MRI on his right groin earlier this week didn’t reveal a strain. The 35-year-old veteran outfielder, who has been one of New York’s main offensive catalysts over the last few weeks, isn’t expected to require a lengthy absence, and might be ready to return for Friday’s second-half opener against the Dodgers.

Dodgers vs. Mets MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I think this is a good spot to back the Mets. Verlander is just 3-4 on the season but judging a pitcher’s performance based on his win-loss record is moronic. His strikeout rate is down and he’s still allowing too much hard contact, but he’s getting hitters to chase, batters are not barreling his stuff and his expected stats are all trending in the right direction. The same cannot be said for Julio Urias, who has given up at least two runs in each of his last five starts, which includes surrendering five runs to a bad Royals team to start the month of July and six runs to the struggling Cardinals back on May 18 before he was injured and missed most of June. Given the pitching matchup and the fact that both teams own a wRC+ of 133 since the start of July, I like the Mets tonight on the moneyline.
