Los Angeles Dodgers DFS Notes
David Price allowed two runs on four hits and no walks with four strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Friday. Price had one of his better starts of the season on Friday against the Angels, allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings. Both runs would score by way of the homer. Price faced the minimum through four innings before Jose Iglesias took him deep in the fifth to put the Angels on the board. He went out to pitch the sixth and recorded one out before Jack Mayfield sent a hanging changeup over the center field wall. That would be it for Price at just 62 pitches — 45 for strikes. The 35-year-old left-hander will take a 3.53 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts over 51 innings into his next start on the road against the Phillies next week.
Philadelphia Phillies DFS Notes
Kyle Gibson pitched well in Friday’s victory over the Mets, allowing just one run on four hits over six strong innings. The 33-year-old hurler walked four and struck out three in the contest. The only damage done against him came on an RBI single by Dominic Smith in the third inning. Gibson has now been victorious in each of his first two starts with the Phillies — and this one finally allowed them to leapfrog the Mets to take over the top of the National League East standings. He’ll carry a pristine 2.80 ERA and 1.18 WHIP into Thursday’s battle against the Dodgers.
