A lengthy homestand could help the San Francisco Giants forget their recent road woes.

San Francisco (12-11) entered Friday’s three-game set with Arizona riding an eight-game winning streak, but dropped each game to the Diamondbacks by one run.
"We just haven’t been able to hit in the clutch, and that was the big difference today," said the Giants’ Omar Vizquel after Sunday’s 5-4 loss.

Fogg allowed three runs and eight hits in seven innings of an 11-5 victory over the New York Mets on Wednesday for his first victory of 2007. That came after he gave up eight runs and 11 hits in just three innings of an 11-1 loss to San Diego on April 20.
The right-hander pitched two scoreless innings of relief against the Giants on April 16, but hasn’t made a start against them since July 5 when he allowed two runs in seven innings of a 5-3 victory. He is 3-1 with a 3.43 ERA in seven career starts against San Francisco.
The Rockies (10-15), who split their series with the Giants earlier this month, went 4-5 at San Francisco last season.
Colorado is 2-6 in its last eight road games overall, and begins a nine-game swing with this contest after defeating Atlanta 9-7 in 11 innings on Sunday behind a walk-off homer by Matt Holliday.
"We needed the win like a hog needs slop," manager Clint Hurdle said.
Holliday’s RBI single in the ninth inning extended his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games, and he’s batting .480 (24-for-50) with nine RBIs during his run. He is 7-for-21 in his career against the Giants’ Noah Lowry (2-2, 3.38), who is looking to win three straight starts for the first time since a six-game run from Aug. 6-Sept. 3, 2005.
Lowry won on Wednesday despite being wild. He allowed four runs, seven hits and a season-high five walks over 6 2-3 innings of a 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Lowry had one of the worst outings of his career in his last start against Colorado, a 20-8 loss on Sept. 18. The left-hander gave up a career-high nine runs in 1 1-3 innings in that game to drop his fourth straight decision against the Rockies.
He is 1-4 with a 7.74 ERA in eight career starts against Colorado.
