San Francisco Giants DFS SPIN
Giants recalled OF Cal Stevenson from Triple-A Sacramento. The 26-year-old outfielder was acquired from the Athletics for cash considerations on April 19. He’ll now get an opportunity with the big league club after Mike Yastrzemski (hamstring) landed on the injured list on Monday. On the season, Stevenson has hit .310/.408/.429 with one homer, three RBI and four stolen bases in 12 games at the Triple-A level.
Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Luis Garcia was removed from Monday’s start against the Giants after only eight pitches due to right elbow discomfort. That’s never a good sign. The Astros already lost José Urquidy to the injured list after he suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday’s start, and now it sounds like Garcia could be joining him there. The right-hander will undergo further testing and the Astros should have a better idea on his status on Tuesday.
