San Francisco Giants DFS Notes
Tommy La Stella went 2-for-2 with a run scored and two walks against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. La Stella made his return to the lineup after missing three months with a hamstring injury and fractured thumb. He got the start at third base and reached in all four of his plate appearances. La Stella scored a run in the sixth on a single by Donovan Solano after leading off the inning with a base hit. The 32-year-old infielder’s versatility will come in handy for the Giants down the stretch as he should be in the lineup more often than not against right-handed pitching.
Arizona Diamondbacks DFS Notes
Josh VanMeter was held out of the Diamondbacks starting lineup on Wednesday due to back spasms. VanMeter was in the club’s original lineup, but wound up getting scratched shortly before the game began. As of now, the injury sounds minor and he should be able to avoid a stint on the injured list. Jake Hager started in his place on Wednesday and could see increased action over the next couple of days while VanMeter is sidelined.
