Giants vs. Pirates Prediction
Will the Giants complete their sweep of the Pirates on Sunday when the two teams wrap up their series at 12:05 p.m. ET from PNC Park? Or is there a better bet on the board with Alex Wood set to oppose Osvaldo Bido in the pitching matchup?

San Francisco Giants DFS SPIN
Mike Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a win over the Pirates on Saturday. The Giants couldn’t do much against Pirates starter Johan Oviedo on Saturday, but Yastrzemski took advantage of a mistake pitch in the second inning. The 32-year-old outfielder’s 11th homer of the season flew 411 feet and gave the Giants an early lead in the second inning, and the veteran is now hitting .251/.321/.474 on the season.
Pittsburgh Pirates DFS SPIN
Pirates activated OF Andrew McCutchen from the 10-day injured list. The veteran outfielder has been on the shelf since July 6 with right elbow inflammation and had been dealing with pain off and on for a few weeks prior. McCutchen has had a great season in his return to Pittsburgh, slashing .268/.383/.425 with ten homers and 28 RBI, and will return to his role as the Pirates’ primary designated hitter.

Giants vs. Pirates MLB BETTING PREDICTION
While the Giants aren’t exactly ripping the cover off the ball of late (81 wRC+ over their last nine games), the Pirates are a dreadful 67 wRC+ over their last 10 contests. The only team worse over that same span has been the White Sox, who own a 65 wRC+. Granted, Alex Wood hasn’t been great this season (4.68 ERA over 50 innings), but the Giants’ bullpen has been outstanding of late. If Wood keeps a struggling Pittsburgh offense at bay for five innings or so and get this to San Francisco’s pen, I like my chances of cashing a Giants ticket late.
