Joc Pederson blasted a two-run homer as the Giants fell to the Cardinals on Sunday night in St. Louis. Pederson finally broke the seal and got the Giants on the board with his 392-foot two-run blast off of Adam Wainwright in the sixth inning. Of course that merely put a Band-Aid on a stab wound as it trimmed the Giants deficit to nine runs at 11-2. It was his only hit in three at-bats on the night. On the season, he’s now hitting .244/.297/.524 with seven long balls and 14 RBI.
