Halladay Still A Jay
Oakland, CA – Roy Halladay is staying with the Toronto Blue Jays – at least for now.
On a day marked by a flurry of last-minute trades before baseball’s non-waiver deadline, Halladay was the most talked-about player who wasn’t dealt away.
The Blue Jays listened to offers for their ace right-hander, but didn’t find anything suitable.
General manager J.P. Ricciardi said Friday the Blue Jays never received an offer good enough to persuade them to trade the 2003 AL Cy Young Award winner, who has spent his entire career in Toronto.
