Boston cruised to a 16-4 home win Friday night over Los Angeles to improve to 62-56 overall and 30-30 at home. J.D. MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Angels are 2-12 in their last 14 games overall. Los Angeles is 0-5 in its last five games versus a right-handed starter.
Boston
The Red Sox are 5-1 in the last six Porcello starts. Boston is 4-0 in its last four games versus the AL West.
Prediction:
Neither pitcher is having a season to remember fondly, but Porcello is at least a former AL Cy Young Award winner and will be backed by a smoking hot offense. With Heaney having high pitch counts early in games and rarely pitching into the sixth or seventh inning, I’m going to say Boston tees off on him plus the bullpen to secure another victory.
