Dodgers vs. Braves Pick
After splitting the first two games of the series, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves will play the rubber match today at 12:10PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers are -260 money line favorites versus the Braves, who have odds of +220 to pull off the big upset today at home. With L.A. ace Clayton Kershaw taking the mound versus Atlanta’s Matt Wisler, the total currently sits at 6.5 runs.
Bet Today’s Dodgers vs. Braves Game
Through three starts this season Kershaw is 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA over 22 innings pitched. He’s allowed just five runs (four earned) on 10 hits while striking out 20 and surrendering just two walks. His FIP (2.70) and xFIP (2.96) are just as impressive as his walk rate (0.82) and HR/9 (0.82). He continues to be virtually unhittable.

Wisler has also pitched three times this season and has posted a 0-1 record with a 4.61 ERA through 13.2 innings pitched. His FIP is a nasty 5.12 and his xFIP is an equally alarming 4.57. What’s worse is that his BABIP is .211, which means he’s received plenty of luck with balls in play, yet his numbers are rough.
TODAY’S PICK: There’s no value in laying the -220 on the Dodgers with Kershaw facing Winsler, but at least you can get the number down to -140 if you take L.A. on the runline (-1.5). This should be a blowout, especially with the Dodgers being 5-0 in Kershaw’s last five road starts and 44-17 in his last 61 starts overall. The Braves are also 3-9 in Winsler’s last 12 starts and are just 1-5 in their last six home games.
THURSDAY MLB FREE PICK: LOS ANGELES DODGERS -1.5 (-140)
