Dodgers vs. Padres Prediction
Despite their issues this spring, will the Dodgers open their 2016 season with a bang tonight in San Diego when they visit the Padres at 7:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dodgers are -190 money line favorites versus the Padres, who are +160 money line underdogs to pull off the upset. As for the total, the number sits at 5.5 runs.
Bet Tonight’s Dodgers vs. Padres Game
Clayton Kershaw will make his regular season debut tonight after throwing three inning of scoreless ball in his final tune-up of the spring on Wednesday. He allowed just two hits while striking out four and walking two as he looked like he was in mid-season form versus the Indians. He should have no issues starting the season off on the right foot.
The Padres will counter with Tyson Ross, who turned in a nice performance in Wednesday’s win over the Mariners. He pitched three innings of one-run ball while allowing just two hits and striking out four. This spring, he walked six in 14 innings so free passes could be an issue for Ross early in the regular season.

With Kershaw on the mound tonight for L.A., the Dodgers should make everyone forget about the amount of injuries that they suffered in what was a rough spring training. And while -190 is too steep of a price to lay early in the season, taking the Dodgers on the run line tonight offers value.
