Dodgers vs. Padres Prediction
After routing the Padres in the teams’ opener on Monday night, the Dodgers will look to cruise to victory again tonight in Game 2 at 10:10PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dodgers are -130 money line favorites over the Padres, who are +110 on the money line to pull off the upset. After opening at 6.5, the total for tonight’s game is now up to 7.

Scott Kazmir dealt with some abdominal discomfort last week but he was just dehydrated and will make tonight’s start. His ERA ballooned to 7.71 this spring and more concerning for the left-hander was his reduced velocity. Los Angeles replaced Zack Greinke with Kazmir so if the 32-year-old isn’t sharp the Dodgers could fall behind in what figures to be a competitive NL West.
The Padres will counter with veteran James Shields, who was the subject of trade rumors recently. He posted a disappointing 3.91 ERA last season in his first year with the Padres but he’s an innings-eating and might be intriguing for a team that needs rotation help. Nevertheless, he’ll make his 2016 debut tonight.

Even though the Dodgers humiliated the Padres last night, Kazmir’s struggles this spring offer an opportunity for bettors to grab San Diego at a great price tonight.
