According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dodgers are -131 money line favorites versus the Padres, who have odds of +111 to pull off the upset. With Kenta Maeda set to face Andrew Cashner in the pitching matchup, the over/under for tonight’s game is sitting at 7 runs.

Maeda held a 1.89 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 19 innings in spring training. The 27-year-old from Osaka, Japan yielded three runs (two earned) over 5 1/3 innings in his spring start on March 27 against the Reds. He brings plenty of intrigue to a Dodgers’ rotation that is looking to replace the departed Zack Greinke.

Cashner was having a nice spring until allowing six earned runs in 3 1/3 innings on March 27 versus the Angels. Johnny Giavotella hit a leadoff single off Cashner while Daniel Nava drew a walk and Mike Trout hit an RBI single before the right-hander registered the first out.
The Padres have not fared well against the Dodgers with Cashner on the mound. They’re 0-4 versus Los Angeles when he pitches and are 0-5 against the Dodgers in their last five home games dating back to last season.
