Flexen coughed up a whopping nine hits, including a three-run homer to Yordan Alvarez in the opening frame. The 27-year-old righty notched three strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. He’ll carry a 3.61 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 69/22 K/BB ratio across 108 2/3 innings (19 starts) into a road matchup against the Rays on Monday night.
Tampa Bay Rays DFS Notes
Brandon Lowe clobbered a two-run homer off of Nick Pivetta on Sunday night, powering the Rays to a 3-2 victory over the Red Sox. The Rays were held scoreless through the first three innings of this one, but Mike Zunino worked Pivetta for a four-pitch walk with two outs in the fourth and Lowe followed with a 361-foot blast to give the Rays a 2-0 lead. The 27-year-old slugger finished the night 1-for-4 and is now slashing .224/.338/.474 with 23 homers and 54 RBI on the season.
