Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
A.J. Puk gave up three runs — two earned — to take a loss in the 10th against the Cardinals on Tuesday. The Marlins failed to score in the top of the 10th, so just the automatic runner scoring would have won the game for the Cardinals. Puk, though, gave up a three-run homer to Nolan Arenado after intentionally walking Paul Goldschmidt. It’s the third homer he’s allowed in his last five appearances, so his closing gig could be vulnerable. Tanner Scott, who got five outs without allowing a run tonight, is next in line at the moment.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Nolan Arenado went 2-for-4 and hit a game-ending, three-run homer in the 10th inning against the Marlins on Tuesday. A single would have sufficed, but Arenado made the final score 5-2 with his 389-foot shot down the left field line off A.J. Puk in the 10th. It was his 21st homer of the year, and he’s sixth in the majors with 71 RBI.

Marlins vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
These two teams are headed in opposite directions. While the Cardinals have won seven out of their last 10 games, the Marlins have dropped seven out of their last 10 contests. That said, Dakota Hudson has shown time and time again that he doesn’t have big league stuff. The Cardinals need to start him today because Adam Wainwright is “injured” and Matthew Liberatore showed in the first half that he’s not cut out for the big leagues, either. So I expect the struggling Marlins to get to Hudson today. On the other side, former Cardinal farmhand Sandy Alcantara is slowly regaining the form that won him the Cy Young a year ago. He had ERAs of 5.04, 4.85 and 4.59 in the first three months, but thus far in July owns a 3.57 ERA with 16 strikeouts and just three walks. He loves to shove it up the Cardinals’ asses too, so I’ll gladly grab Miami as an underdog today at Busch.
