Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Bryan De La Cruz picked up his 15th homer and 23rd double Thursday against the Phillies. De La Cruz took over the Marlins lead with 58 RBI today. He’s 11 homers behind Jorge Soler, but Soler hasn’t been as strong in the RBI department while mostly hitting second. With Avisaíl García back and getting significant playing time, it’s imperative that De La Cruz avoid any slumps in order to keep starting regularly. That he has some of the best counting stats on the team helps his case.
Texas Rangers DFS SPIN
Mitch Garver went 2-for-4 and hit a long homer Thursday in the victory over the White Sox. Garver’s homer off Touki Toussant was projected at 457 feet. He also drove in a second run with a single in the contest. His season line is up to 262/.347/.469, and he’s a solid mixed-league catcher with Jonah Heim sidelined.

Marlins vs. Rangers MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Luzardo is 8-5 with a 3.38 ERA and went 2-0 last month with a 2.89 ERA, even though he doesn’t have a win to show for his strong efforts. Montgomery, meanwhile, was acquired from the Cardinals at the deadline and will make his debut for Texas tonight. He’s 6-9 with a 3.42 ERA and had a five-start streak from June 20 to July 18 in which he allowed one run or fewer in each, but wasn’t as effective in his past two outings when he lost to the Cubs. The Marlins can’t hit and Montgomery doesn’t usually get blown up anyway. With Luzardo also taking the hill for Miami, I like the under tonight in Arlington.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: MARLINS/RANGERS UNDER 8.5
