Marlins vs. Rays Prediction
Will the Marlins earn a series split versus the Rays when the teams play the finale at 12:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday afternoon? Or is there a better bet when Sandy Alcantara opposes Zach Eflin in the pitching matchup?

Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Edward Cabrera allowed three runs on four hits in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday. The Marlins had a quick hook with the 25-year-old on Tuesday. He allowed one walk in the first inning but things turned in the second. He allowed back-to-back-to-back singles to the first three batters he faced in the second inning before Josh Lowe connected on a single to center field, scoring the night’s first run. Lowe quickly swiped second base before Yandy Díaz roped a double to left field, driving in two more runs. Cabrera didn’t strike out a batter and generated just one swinging strike on the night. Cabrera has a tough matchup his next time out, as he faces the Phillies at home on Monday.
Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Brandon Lowe went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo homer as the Rays defeated the Marlins on Tuesday. Lowe got the party started at The Trop Tuesday night with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning. He kept the party going with a solo homer in the sixth inning that had an exit velocity of 105.2 MPH and traveled 414 feet. An absolute bomb. The 29-year-old has struggled to a .214/.311/.416 slash line, but if this is the game that sparks a hot streak. Watch out

Marlins vs. Rays MLB BETTING PREDICTION
On paper, this looks like a quality pitching matchup. Zach Eflin (11-5, 3.36 ERA) has been the Rays most consistent and reliable starter, especially at Tropicana Field where he’s 10-1 with a 2.10 ERA. On the other side, Sandy Alcantara will toe the rubber for the Marlins after winning the 2022 National League Cy Young Award and already logging 126 1/3 innings this season. That said, Eflin has faced the Marlins a ton over his career because he pitched for several years in the NL East. In 16 games (15 starts) against the Marlins, Eflin is 5-7 with a 4.97 ERA in 88 2/3 innings. Alcantara, meanwhile, is 2-5 with a 4.91 ERA in 11 road starts this season. He’s also winless at 0-5 with a 4.98 ERA in matinee matchups. I think the over is a sneaky-good play this afternoon in Tampa.
