New York Mets DFS SPIN
DJ Stewart hit a pair of homers and knocked in three runs Wednesday in the Mets’ 8-3 victory over the Pirates. Stewart also homered off the bench last night, so he’s up four homers in 57 plate appearances for the Mets. He’ll probably play regularly against right-handers for now, though it’d be better if he did so as a DH. His glove will take away whatever value his bat produces when he’s stationed in the outfield.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Lars Nootbaar was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Athletics with a lower abdomen contusion. It’s certainly one way to describe it after Nootbaar made an early exit from Wednesday’s series finale shortly after fouling a ball off his groin area during a fifth-inning at-bat. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Mets vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Wainwright has been nothing short of a disaster for the Cardinals this season. If we narrow down his performance to his last four starts, he’s 0-3 with a 12.60 ERA and 6.66 FIP across only 15 innings. There are only two reasons Wainwright remains in the St. Louis rotation. One, the Cards are terrible this season so there’s no urgency to make a change. More importantly, it’s Wainwright’s final season and he’s just two wins shy of 200 victories for his career. Otherwise, he would have been shifted to the pen a while ago. As for Quintana, he’s 0-4 over his last five starts but he’s deserved a better fate. His ERA is 3.03, his FIP is even lower at 2.93 and he’s combined for 29 2/3 innings over those five starts. He’ll also face the team that didn’t bring him back this past offseason despite him showing interest. Give me the Mets.
