Francisco Lindor crushed a three-run homer on Wednesday afternoon, powering the Mets to a 7-3 victory over the Braves. Lindor turned on an inside fastball from Charlie Morton and crushed it for a three-run homer (106.9 EV, 379 feet) to extend the Mets lead to 4-0 in the third inning. He also reached on an error and eventually scored on a balk in the seventh inning, finishing the day 1-for-5. The superstar shortstop has been much more productive in his second season with the Mets, slashing .244/.317/.433 with 16 homers, 64 RBI and nine stolen bases through 88 games.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Willson Contreras went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Wednesday’s loss to the Orioles. Nothing doing for Contreras on Wednesday. On the whole this season, the veteran backstop is rocking out to a .262/.377/.473 triple-slash with 13 homers, 35 RBI and three steals in 275 at-bats. While Contreras is having a strong overall season, he has now gone nine straight games without connecting for a long ball.
Mets vs. Cubs MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Mets have dropped eight of their last 11 games versus the Cubs but they’re too good to pass up at this price. They’re 55-33 on the season, are 42-19 when listed as chalk and are 27-18 on the road. The Cubs, meanwhile, are 33-54 on the year, 24-38 when listed as an underdog and home field advantage is non-existent, as they’re 16-29 at Wrigley.
