New York Mets DFS SPIN
Mark Canha went 3-for-3 with a homer, double and three runs scored on Saturday, leading the Mets to a 6-2 victory over the Marlins in Miami. Canha led off the second inning with a double off of Edward Cabrera then came around to score the game’s first run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Omar Narvaez. He then drew a walk to lead off the fourth inning, advanced on a couple of ground balls and scored on an RBI single by Narvaez. The 34-year-old then crushed a 403-foot solo shot off of Braxton Garrett that made it a 5-2 game in the seventh. Canha had been hitless through his first two games, so it was nice to see him get off the schneid in this one.
Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Nick Fortes clobbered a 422-foot two-run homer on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Marlins to victory over the Mets. Fortes annihilated a 3-1 94.3 mph fastball from Tylor Megill in the second inning, crushing it (104.6 mph EV) for a go-ahead two-run homer. Unfortunately for the Marlins, that would be the extent of their offense in the ballgame. Fortes also singled in the contest, finishing the day 2-for-4. He has now found himself behind the dish in two of the team’s first three games and could wind up seeing the lion’s share of the work back there over Jacob Stallings.
