New York Mets DFS SPIN
David Peterson pitched well in a no-decision against the Giants on Sunday night, allowing just one run on three hits over four innings. The left-hander walked three and struck out three on the night. The lone tally that he allowed came on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Thairo Estrada in the third inning. He was only at 61 pitches through four innings and had been pitching well, so it was interesting to see Mets’ skipper Buck Showalter use the quick hook on him there. Peterson now holds a 6.61 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and a 53/20 K/BB ratio across 49 innings on the season.
San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Blake Snell picked up his fifth victory of the season on Monday night, racking up seven strikeouts over five scoreless innings against the Angels. The 30-year-old southpaw scattered seven hits and four walks on the evening, but managed to pitch himself out of several sticky situations along the way. After a rough start to the season, Snell is now down to a respectable 3.03 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and a 121/46 K/BB ratio over 92 innings in his 17 starts. He’ll do battle against the Mets on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.
