Mets vs. Yankees Prediction
The “Subway Series” will kick up again this week when the Yankees host the Mets for three games at Yankee Stadium. With Justin Verlander set to oppose Domingo German in the starting pitching matchup, what’s the smart play for Game 1 of this series on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. ET?

New York Mets DFS SPIN
Francisco Lindor went 1-for-4 and drove in the Mets’ lone run in Sunday night’s loss to the Red Sox. Lindor finally got the Mets on the board in the sixth inning as he plated Danny Mendick with a run-scoring single off of Chris Murphy — pulling the Mets to within four runs at 5-1. That would be as close as they would get. The 29-year-old shortstop is having a down season offensively — slashing .226/.313/.447 with 19 long balls, 62 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Gleyber Torres was removed from Sunday’s battle against the Royals due to tightness in his right hip. Yankees’ skipper Aaron Boone said that Torres’ hip tightened up on him during the game, which was the reason for his early exit. No word yet on the severity of the issue, or if he’ll require any imaging. Fantasy managers may want to be sure to have an alternative option available for next week in the event that he’s going to miss some time

Mets vs. Yankees MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I like the Mets. Verlander has allowed three runs or fewer in six of his past seven outings and is coming off a dominant performance last Wednesday in a 5-1 home win over the White Sox. He allowed one run on three hits and completed eight innings for the second time this season and is 9-7 with a 3.37 ERA in 24 career starts against the Yankees. German, meanwhile, last pitched last week in a 5-1 loss to the Angels when he allowed five runs in six innings. He’s 0-1 with a 4.41 ERA in three starts since his perfect game on June 28 in Oakland.
