New York Mets DFS SPIN
Mark Canha clobbered two home runs and collected five RBI on Sunday, propelling the Mets to a 10-9 comeback victory over the Phillies. Canha clocked a three-run shot off Phillies reliever Connor Brogdon in the seventh inning and also delivered a go-ahead two-run blast of Phillies stopper David Robertson in the ninth inning to finish off a three-hit effort. It was his third career multi-homer performance and the first time he’s accomplished the feat since August 25, 2019. The 33-year-old veteran slugger is up to 10 home runs this season in his Mets debut.
New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Andrew Benintendi had a tiebreaking, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh in the Yankees’ 4-2 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday. The Yankees salvaged the finale of the three-game series in the Bronx. Benintendi also doubled and walked in what was clearly his best game as a Yankee. Interestingly, the Jays’ standout today was Whit Merrifield, who, like Benintendi, was a Royal prior to the trade deadline. Both hit their first homers for their new teams. Benintendi’s homer off Adam Cimber was just his fourth of the year. He’s now at .211/.322/.368 for his new team.
