Miami fell by a count of 11-4 Saturday night at Colorado to drop to 45-77 overall and 20-38 on the road. Garrett Cooper helped pace the Marlins offense as he went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Jon Berti finished 1-for-4 with a solo homer plus a walk. Jorge Alfaro recorded two hits in four at-bats. Hector Noesi took the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on five hits over 4 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking three. MLB Betting Trends
Miami
The Marlins are 1-4 in the last five Yamamoto starts. Miami is 1-6 in its last seven Sunday games.
Colorado
The Rockies are 4-1 in their last five Sunday games. Colorado is 1-9 in the last 10 Lambert starts.
Prediction:
Yamamoto has struggled in some tough matchups after his blazing MLB start and it isn’t likely to get easier here. The good news is Lambert has stunk much of his rookie campaign and Miami should get to him here. With Yamamoto having good outlier numbers still and the Rockies being inconsistent all season, I’m going to take a shot on Miami busting out the big bats in the thin air and stealing one before it leaves town.
