Marlins vs. Giants Prediction
Will the Giants finally snap their five-game losing streak when they host the Marlins tonight at 10:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are -160 money line favorites over the Marlins, who have odds of +145 to pull off the upset. As for the total, the number sits at 7.5 runs with Jarred Cosart set to face Jeff Samardzija in the pitching matchup.
Bet Tonight’s Marlins vs. Giants Game
Cosart has yet to pick up a win through two starts but he’s avoided losses as well. He allowed five runs on four hits through 5 2/3 innings of work against the Braves in his last outing. His strikeout (6.10) and walk (7.84) rates are alarming for a guy that has a .250 BABIP. His 4.30 FIP is troubling.

Tonight will mark Samardzija’s fourth start with the Giants. He’s 1-1 on the year with a 3.72 ERA and took the loss in his last outing while allowing three runs on six hits versus the Dodgers. He too has had issues striking out (6.52) the opposition and his (3.72) walk rate is nothing to write home about either.
OUR PREDICTION: The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams and 7-3 in the Giants’ last 10 games following a loss. The over is also 5-1 in San Francisco’s last six games during Game 1 of a series and is 5-0 in Cosart’s last five road starts. The over has cashed in four of Cosart’s last five games overall as well.
